Heck yes, it was my favorite show back in the day. I was psyched when I finally got the seasons on dvd.

That's because it wasn't intended to be that last episode, the show was supposed to be continued. But they moved the time slot to the 'death hole' and so no one watched during the time it was on. Plus, the show was starting to have too big of a budget and it pissed fox off they were spending so much money. Thus it got canceled. Even though it had one of the largest fandom of any show during the years it was on.

They put out books to tie the show up, but it wasn't written by the original writers. Max Allan Collins wrote them, so some characters do things that are way out of character, however it gives it a ending, so you're not left hanging. It made me hate the last season less. The final one is called After the Dark. I just read that one, but Skin Game is the one that's supposed to take place directly after Freak Nation (last episode). I didn't want to bother with Skin Game though, After the Dark relates everything that happened anyway.

THANK YOU, my American friend ! I know it's old news, but I kinda needed "closure".. It's too bad, I loved the show very much, it was original, now I would like to read those books anyway hmm, too bad But I understand it all better now - hey they should make a movie now that Alba is famous haha..

They should, they were playing around with different ideas. So, they may close it off at some point in the future.
